Singing at the Edinburgh Fringe is fast becoming a fixture in our diaries and this summer we returned for the third time. As always, it was a lively, exciting, busy and exhausting trip with everyone trying to fit in as many shows as possible around our own performances. And hats off to the choir members who even managed to include an early morning climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat!
This year, we stopped off at the magnificent Durham Cathedral to sing on our way to the Scottish capital – a lovely way to warm up for our three days in Edinburgh.
Our Fringe performances were in some of our favourite locations, Greyfriars Kirk, Canongate Kirk and Brewhemia, a lively, noisy beer palace which is a complete contrast to our other concert venues.
Now we’re back in Harrogate, and it’s time to start learning new songs and polishing up some ‘golden oldies’ for our autumn and winter concerts.
