At last this summer, the sun shone and the temperatures soared for our concert at Knaresborough Castle. And everyone agreed it was a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday as our audience gathered under the shade of the trees for an afternoon of music. It was also an opportunity to sing some of the songs we have been rehearsing for our forthcoming trip to the Edinburgh Fringe 2024, including some old favourites like Bridge Over Troubled Water, Let The River Run and Hey Jude.
It also brought to an end our year of supporting Frank’s Fund, which was set up by the Ashton family of Harrogate in memory of their 14-year-old son, to raise money for bone cancer research. Thank you to all of our audiences for their generous donations to Frank’s Fund throughout the year, and to Sunday’s audience who contributed £234, bringing our final total to £2,765.
